Brian Jess is a passionate musician and experienced professional with a diverse career background. He graduated from Fruita Monument High School and continued his education at Southwest Baptist University, where he earned degrees in music education and trumpet performance. His love for music led him to teach for a year before transitioning to the information technology field, where he worked as a software engineer. Over the years, Brian has held various IT management roles in non-profit, retail, and healthcare organizations. Currently, he is employed in cyber security with a lumber and building holdings company.

While pursuing his career in IT, Brian remained deeply connected to the music world, playing with orchestras and bands in the Ozark area of Missouri. He also contributed his expertise by serving on multiple community boards. In the fall of 2023, Brian and his family moved back to Grand Junction, where he quickly reconnected with local music groups. His talent and passion for music led to an invitation to join the VSA Orchestra, where he continues to perform today.

Brian’s love for music and community involvement make him an invaluable asset to both the local music scene and the various boards he serves on.
