chris mundayAlto II

Featured March, 2020

Growing up, Chris sang in her church’s youth choir, adult choir, and several small groups. Prior to moving to Montrose, she performed in a distinguished seminary choir for 12 years. Soon after becoming a Colorado resident six years ago, she was missing the discipline of people working together to create a beautiful finished choral product—one that they and others could enjoy. Then, a friend invited her to audition for the VSA Chorus. Now in her fourth year, she has enjoyed the experience immensely and is a fixture in the Alto 2 section.

Vic Franks

Tenor

Featured December, 2019

Boulder native Vic Franks started singing at Burbank Junior High School and Fairview High School. He sang with the Boulder Chorale community choir after high school and has been part of large choirs, as well as madrigal and show choirs.

He worked his way through CU over the course of 20 years. “Yes, 20 years! I was a professional student, amassing about twice the credit hours needed for my bachelor’s degree.” He holds double majors in marketing and management and a minor in political science.

Vic moved to Paonia in 2001 and joined the Grand Mesa Singers, which became the VSA chorus when it merged under the VSA umbrella in 2002. He has taken occasional breaks from the tenor section, notably in 2010, when he “…was too sad to sing the Christmas concert after losing my mother, especially since her birthday was Christmas Day.”
